Charlie is currently working as an ST7 in the Cardiff Transplant Unit, hoping to pursue a career in renal transplant and vascular access surgery. She recently completed her PhD in renal ischaemia reperfusion injury and ischaemic preconditioning. After a year of working as the Herrick Education Representative, she was excited to take on the role of Herrick President, following in the footsteps of Tom Nieto. She hopes that we can build on the success of previous years in making Herrick an inclusive and supportive society for all transplant trainees in the UK.
