Who we are

The Herrick Society is a community of passionate and dedicated trainees, researchers and fellows in transplant surgery in the United Kingdom. We strive to create an environment where our members can connect with like-minded individuals, share their knowledge and expertise, and receive the support they need to excel in their careers.

Our society is named after the Herrick Twins, who were instrumental in the history of transplant surgery as the first organ donor and recipient in the world. Their pioneering contribution to the field serves as a constant reminder of the incredible impact that transplantation surgery can have on the lives of individuals and their families.

Membership to the Herrick Society is open to all medical students and doctors with a declared interest in transplant surgery in the United Kingdom. By joining our community, you will have access to a wealth of resources and opportunities, including representation on several influential committees in the field.

We invite you to join us on this journey, as we work towards advancing the field of transplantation surgery and making a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
