James is an Academic Clinical Fellow in Surgery and Transplantation at Cambridge. His research interests entail early detection and treatment of graft injury in solid organ transplantation. His research primarily focuses on understanding how extracellular vesicles (EVs), lipid bilayer-delimited particles with unique biosignatures and immunogenic potential, function as intermediaries of cell signalling in transplantation using biochemical, biophysical and structural techniques.
