Subhankar is a Senior Clinical Fellow at The Roy Calne Transplant Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and pursuing a part-time MD at the University of Cambridge. He completed his MBBS from Silchar Medical College, Assam and his Diplomate of National Board in General Surgery from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, where-in he received the Chakravarthy Memorial Award for Best Outgoing Surgical Resident. After completing MRCSEd, he joined his present Department as a Clinical Research Fellow, embarking on his research career by being involved in various trials alongside learning transplantation. Having trained in India and Cambridge, he has the insight of two different training pathways and approaches current trainee issues in a multi-pronged manner to facilitate equity, engagement, and accessibility of opportunities for trainees. He hopes to consolidate the efforts of his predecessors and build a stronger close-knit community with a common goal of learning in Transplantation.
