Live-Donor Transplant Film and Commentary 4 - Recipient Operation

TLC (Transplant Links Community) is thrilled to announce the commencement of its Autumn Term Symposia Series, in partnership with UKKA. In this fourth installment, TLC presents a video showcasing a live-donor kidney transplant performed at University Hospital Birmingham UK.

This symposium delves into the intricacies of kidney implantation, with esteemed Transplant Surgeons, including Mr. Dilan Dibare, Mr. Andrew Ready, Mr. Jay Nath, Dr. Margaret O'Shea, and Mr. Marc Clancy, guiding attendees through the crucial phases of the operation, including ureteric implantation and closure.

While the event is tailored for the operating theater team, it offers a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals who typically do not witness transplant procedures to gain valuable insights into the decision-making process and its ripple effects in patient care.

The symposium will be skillfully chaired by Mr. Ben Lindsey, Consultant General, Vascular, and Renal Transplant Surgeon at the Royal London Hospital, who will also facilitate an interactive Q&A session with the panel.

Attendees can anticipate receiving the Zoom link on the day of the symposium. We would like to express our gratitude to Sandoz for their generous financial support, emphasizing that they played no role in shaping the event's scientific content.

This symposium is slated to last for an hour, with dedicated time for questions and answers. Please note that it is exclusively designed for healthcare professionals. A certificate of attendance will be provided upon completion of the post-symposium feedback form.

TLC looks forward to welcoming colleagues and professionals to this enlightening event.
