We are pleased to announce the upcoming Surgical Skills Course, scheduled for the 10th of June 2023 at Hull University Hospital. This comprehensive course is designed to enhance surgical skills and is open to healthcare professionals interested in refining their techniques.

Led by esteemed experts in the field, the course brings together Professor Mahmood Loubani, Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust and Director of the Suture Centre, and Mr. Bishow Karki, MRCS, Senior Associate Surgical Skill Fellow at the Suture Centre. Mr. Karki is also an ST2 in HPB and Transplant Surgery at St. James's University Hospitals, and an executive member of the NDA UK.

The course program will cover a range of essential skills and techniques, including gowning and gloving, handling instruments, knot tying, suturing techniques, skin lesion management with local anesthetic techniques, bowel anastomosis, and tendon repair. Each session will provide hands-on training and practical demonstrations to ensure participants gain valuable proficiency and confidence in these crucial surgical procedures.
